My go-to ramen spot in Cebu! Every visit to Mendokoro Ramenba feels like a treat — from the savory aroma that greets you to the cozy ramen bar setup where you can watch the chefs at work. My favorite is the Shoyu Ramen with extra egg. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with that deep umami taste that lingers in the best way. The noodles have just the right bite, and the chashu practically melts in your mouth. The soft-boiled egg is always cooked perfectly — creamy yolk and all. I can usually only finish half, so it’s best shared with someone. That said, I can see how some might find it a bit overwhelming — too creamy or too fatty for their taste, especially if you prefer lighter ramen styles like shio. Personally, I love it, but it’s definitely on the indulgent side. The dumplings (gyoza) are great too — crisp on one side, soft on the other, with a juicy, flavorful filling. The serving of five is generous; three or four pieces would be just right for me. The ambiance deserves a mention as well. It’s got that minimalist Japanese ramen-bar charm — warm lighting, clean lines, and the lively sound of ramen being prepared right in front of you. The staff are friendly, service is fast, and everything feels efficiently run. It can get busy during peak hours, but the overall experience is consistently good. Many other diners share the same sentiments — praising the rich broth, excellent service, and authentic taste. Some find the ramen a little pricey or heavy, but most agree it’s worth it for the quality and flavor. Overall, Mendokoro Ramenba Cebu is one of the best ramen spots in the city. Come hungry, or better yet, come with a friend to share — because once you taste that Shoyu Ramen, you’ll definitely want to come back for more.

One of our best Ramen restaurants in Cebu. Food: 5/5 Aside from their ramen being delicious, their ramen is creamy, not oily, and not too salty. The pork was a bit thick, but surprisingly tender and tasty! Service: 5/5 Their staff were all friendly, attentive, and approachable. They also offer us a disposable bib, which is a plus especially when you still have another trip for the day. Atmosphere: 5/5 Their place is nice and you can see your food being prepared in front of you. But the seating arrangement is limited especially on peak hours, so be prepared. FYI: For those who will need forks, they don't have them. We will be back!

I ordered the lechon ramen which is off-menu, it was really good. The broth was thick, it was served with a little fresh sauce on the side for the lechon. Also tried the Hiyashi Chuka. Well served, super nice. Noodle a little thick.

The miso ramen broth is very thick. It feels like eating the taiwanese pork rice sauce with thick sauce pork and thick sauce ramen. You'll need to pay first at the counter with menu on the wall. The attendant will keep up selling you add on. They will automatically serve you ice water when you are seated so not necessary to order drinks. All the seating if I remembered correctly is bar counter with bag hooks below the table. The setup is cater for quick lunch crowds. Two tonkatsu miso ramen added egg with soda drinks comes up to 1.6k php.

No complaints with the service or setting. We came in on a Sunday morning and were the only ones there, so we were seated right away and the food came out quickly. They offered us bibs (not sure if this is also a thing at Yushoken). I liked the typical ramen counter setup. Tsukemen and gyoza have been my go-to at their other branch, and the food here was consistent. Tried the chahan for the first time and it was excellent. Solid food overall, but knocked off a star as the pricing feels a bit steep compared to other quality ramen spots in Cebu.

Finally had the chance to try Mendokoro Ramenba in IT Park. They have a small menu focusing on noodle type dishes loke ramen and soba. We were surprisingly satisfied with the tantanmen and soyu ramen that we ordered because the soup was very thick it delighted our taste buds. And this is no bias comment since I was actually apprehensive at first because of the price but after trying them out, I would say they were delish! Oh. And do not forget the gyoza!

Food was scrumptious! Though my taste buds were messed up that time due to a cold, I could still taste everything well. How I wish I’ve tried it here sooner, I’ve lived here in Cebu City for quite some time—- I’m missing a lot!ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Anyway, the staffs really know what they’re doing and the comfort room is clean and decent. 10/10

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from dining around Cebu, it’s that restaurant ratings can be wildly misleading. Having eaten at multiple Michelin-starred establishments, I’d like to think I have a decent benchmark for quality — and this ramen spot truly surprised me. The broth is exceptional: rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced without being overly salty, allowing the umami to shine through. The noodles are just the right thickness and cooked to that ideal, satisfying chew. Even the bamboo shoots stand out — thinly sliced, free of any unpleasant odor, and complementary to the overall flavour profile. A genuinely impressive bowl of ramen, and easily one of the best I’ve had in Cebu.
